Frightened Rabbit has shown up on a few lists so far. I can appreciate that pick--I was into the album for a stretch.

I need to check out that The Mynabirds, since its been on a bunch of lists as well.

Really enjoy The Mynabirds, but still don't get the love for Wild Nothing. It just sounded so bland to me...gotta give it another couple of tries I guess

I'm with you. It's not bad, even quite pleasant, but gauzy 4AD-style ephemera didn't make me like the Pale Saints any more back in the early 90s, not sure why it's suddenly awesome in 2010.

Nice to see the first appearance of the Silver Seas on these lists.

it was on mine, but no reason for you to have noticed, since it was mine and all

in fact, doesn't its mere presence on my list require you to immediately disavow ever having enjoyed it at all?

No reason other than the fact you chose to obscure each album cover with its ranking number, subsequently rendering the entire list too annoying to bother deciphering.

Also FT, I think it's about time we had this talk.

[deep breath]

It's not you. It's me. You have great taste in music. All your friends can see that. And you deserve someone with an equally great taste in music, someone who appreciates you and your taste, and, well, that someone just isn't me. I guess what I'm trying to say is my taste isn't good enough for you. I don't mean to suggest we haven't shared some great music in the past, and maybe we still will at some time in the future, but for now, it just can't go on. I know the right person is out there for you, clutching on to a small pile of Donald Fagan and Rhett Miller solo CDs. You just have to find them. So dry those tears, big guy. Dry those tears.

Shit, add Beach House to albums I need to hear. I had their debut on my (07??!?) list. Should at least see what this one is all about.

It sounds like everything I loved when discovering music in the early-mid 4AD days. There was just something about it.

I liked the Pale Saints a lot, especially the second album. I liked 4AD. I'd be happy if Dead Can Dance reunited. I think Wild Nothing is just fine.

How did this one slipped passed you (other than the fact that you're always hype-averse)? IMO, it's far, far superior to their previous stuff.
