Working my way through a cracking bottle of Quinta do Vesuvio Vintage Port 2003. My bird is dragging me down the local in a little while, can't be arsed.

Any resolutions?

Quit Smoking. Get fit. Same old bullshit.

Laying out sick. Have the flu. Debating a French 75 or a glass of Johnny Blue around 9 CST and evaluating Twennylebbum from the cold gray light of dawn.

Depending on this UGA game the drinks might get doubled at an earlier time.

The only real resolutions I have are to take advantage of the opportunities afforded me as they come. Be it travel, work, or radio show appearances/speeches, I want to continue to ball as hard as possible.

eating a burger and onion rings right now.

i had a bunch of different options for tonight (go to my friend's in vermont, party a street down from me) but i'm hanging out with a girl instead at one of her friends gatherings. i don't think i even really want to drink tonight.

resolutions: read more books, ride my bike more, sell off all the old comic books that i don't want (this one's going to be a hassle as i have like 20+ longboxes full of them).

The same thing as the last few years. Band is playing at a clothing-optional resort.
They're the most appreciative and agreeable people I have ever played for.

So are you literally rocking out with your cock out? Or leaving that to the audience?

Hanging with in laws in NC. Their place is about 25 miles NW of Durham and about 17 miles south of 1952.

I hooked up one of the teevees on the front porch (it was like 70 here), made chili and several hors d'oeuvres, queued up a few mixes and had a bunch of people and their kids over at 3:30 when the UGA game started. Aside from the game, which was terrible, it was totally painless and everybody was gone by 7:30.

Stayed home with the Mrs. and kiddies

We made a 3 course fondue dinner.
1 - gourmet cheeses with broccoli, cauliflower, french bread
2 - shrimp & scallops
3 - melted chocolate with double stuff oreo's (my choice), marshmellows (ella's choice), and strawberries (mrs. choice)

We watched 'The Kids Are All Right' with Julianne Moore & Annette Benning and 'Grown Ups'. Both were slightly better than average...

Flipped amongst the 4-5 different New Years shows but settled with Dick Clark out of tradition.

Started the Honeymooners marathon, but was asleep by 12:35....

We leave that to them. The first time we played there, a lady dared us to take our clothes off, so I dared her to put hers back on. They were served a nice dinner last night, so most were dressed up for the occasion, not too much showing.

FR, is that State Trooper the Bruce song?

If yes, after that --> Angels and Fuselages, did they provide free counseling after the show?

Looks like it was the real deal show.

Yes, yes it was. Also, may I point out that Kelly Hogan did that cover of the Tanya Tucker "Delta Dawn". Incredible show.

Sirius streamed the show on the Outlaw Country station, so I'm sure within a few hours you'll start to see mp3s of the show crop up.

Nope, we decided to forgo Philly. We were pretty tapped after NYE and the show the previous night in Brooklyn. Many of the tribe went down though. We're seeing them again definitely in Feb for the 2-nights in DC, and I'm toying with the mid-week show in York, PA. Should add that there were 2 pro video cameras in front of the stage and multiple behind drums, and keyboards for NYE. Don't know what they're gonna be using the footage for. Might be for a webisode, might be for something else. BTW, here's the setlist for Thursday in Brooklyn:

Tornadoes
A Ghost to Most
Feb. 14
Marry Me
Play It All Night Long
Get Downtown
(It's Gonna Be) I Told You So
After the Scene Dies
Birthday Boy
Girls Who Smoke
3 Dimes Down
Dancin' Ricky
Respect Yourself
Everybody Needs Love
72 (This Highway's Mean)
Tales Facing Up
Women Without Whiskey
A World of Hurt
Shut Up and Get on the Plane
Encore:
I Used to be a Cop
Self-Destructive Zones
18 Wheels of Love
People Who Died

Definitely some great renditions of stuff like 18 Wheels of Love.

Someone got some video of the trapeze artist during Flying Wallendas if yr so inclined:

I'm not much of a NYE person. Spent New Year's day with my extended family. This particular part of my family only gathers on New Year's day and weddings.

As far as resolutions, I want to:
1) find time to exercise - 3 kids and new job has not made this easy. Pre-kids, I was running half-marathons and playing racquetball 3x a week. I'm not sure I could run to the end of the block right now.
2) force the wife and I to spend time with each other away from the kids at least 3x a month. Also not easy these days.
3) Meet all of work goals.
4) Listen to music, read, and watch movies. 2010 was an all time low for these as well.

Really, so much of the last two years have been focused on our kids that I haven't spent much time doing the other things I enjoy.

DJed from 9pm until about 4am at this great under the radar "social club/bike garage" in ATL, there were tons of girls on ecstacy so they screamed and loved everything I did.

Drank Cristal from a plastic cup

passed out around 8 am in a druggy haze.

Ang and I rang it in at a good friends place. Tons of food (Ang made the ridic stuffed pork loin), tons of drink, hash, and met some really nice folks throughout the evening. Very chill, which was very nice. We were in bed by 2 am so we could wake up the next morning and take Séb to run the parks like a maniac and then hit the Las Olas Art Fair (people with dogs in bags are the worst people).

- cut down on beer and lose this belly a bit
- teach Séb to ride his new bike and get onto a pedal bike before his 3rd birthday in June
- travel a lot in 2011
- continue to put out some really great records on JUKBOXR, including a full length album
