Baker Street was listenable... but "the greatest sax solo of all time...", uh, no. It is a pale (sic) imitation of Clarence Clemons... and Steve Berllin produces better solos on any given night, and King Curtis and Junior Walker... etc. etc.

I think in some small part of my brain I thought Gerry Rafferty and Mark Knopfler was the same person.

I'm logging in first to say the thread title is a worthy one...and second just hoping Mr. Rafferty will not be singularly associated with poor Officer Nash's ear being lopped off in a trippy and certifiably horrific movie scene.
