Anybody else digging this? I'm addicted to it right now--it's pretty much getting daily spins.

It's nothing groundbreaking or new in terms of musicality or songwriting: It's more or less straightforward Americana with some decent rocking out and some faux country thrown in for good measure.

RIYL: Ryan Adams (If Ryan Adams was a band called "Ryan Adams" and not a douche named "Ryan Adams"), Jayhawks, Dad Rock Allstars USA

Listened to this yesterday in the helmet. This doesn't just sound kinda like Ryan Adams... his mother would have a hard time believing it's not him in places. Not just the warbly tenor voice and sliding / fluid delivery, but the music too. Jesus. Here at my desk with the big cans on I can hear more clearly that it's somebody else, but I think what I said out loud behind the visor was something like "it's like Ryan Adams went into the studio and then the producer turned the 'A.D.D.' fader down." It's more focused and less rambly than he's been for the last 14 albums (aka 4.2 years' worth).

Still haven't listened to the fucking thing. Based on the description, it seems like it wouldn't fit with this week's 80s drone listening.
