2 hour premier was a tad long. It's also very derivative but I'm a sucker for a who-done-it.

I have it DVR'ed....I'm not dying to see it, but anything AMC has put together over the last few years has been gold.

I enjoyed it too, which I'm not sure my first post accurately conveyed.

i think the numerous teases were a bit cheesy and some of the dialogue was terrible, but i'm looking forward to seeing how they play this out.

I thought the teases were the best part. It made you excited when they actually found the dead body, which is kind a creepy feeling.

In my opinion this pilot was 100x better than the Zombie show.

Have heard this described as "Twin Peaks without a backwards talking midget or Kyle McLaughlin."

Digging it so far. The fake outs were sort of annoying and sometimes the acting seems a bit off, but I overall I do like the idea of a procedural spread out over the course of 13 episodes. And it has a nice sense of mood and atmosphere. Wife likes it too.

So they can sell you the next version that does? What doesn't make sense to me is that it appears you can't just sling the Internet on your computer to your tv using apple tv. I don't care how pixelated it is, for $100 I need to be able to watch 60" of spankwire on this motherfucker.

Haven't seen the Killing but I noticed AMC was running a Deliverance marathon over the weekend.

We loved it. My wife is completely hooked.

Hadn't even heard of this show until this thread. My gf and I just watched it and it was really great. Holy shit, intense though. All of the stuff with the family is just heart wrenching. Great start.

Yea, I agree. I get that he has his unconventional ways as a cop, but the actor himself bothers me. I believe the actor is actually Swedish trying to do some sort of southern or backwoods accent, and that is throwing me off.

southern backwoods eminem gangster. its just a weird character. maybe that's the point though. i mean the cops interaction with the middle school kid in the his partner's office was really off-putting and annoying, but the interaction with the soccer players was so uncomfortable that it actually sort of worked.
