saturday i have a bunch of harry homeowner stuff to do, including tilling my garden and planting it (late), and picking up the piano i bought two weeks ago. then recording, possibly getting drunk.

Breaking my daughter of all the bad habits she's picking up from the tantrum-throwing 3 yr old boy we share a nanny with.

I've bought some tiny 4 inch tall ponies. They have lustrous manes. I like to stroke my face on their mane. Then I pick them up by the hind legs and brush my teeth with them.

friday: work, hang at home for a bit and then heading over the girls place to bbq some steak and drink beers/bourbon. might go out to a bar too.

saturday: working again. no idea what I'm doing after.

sunday: helping my sister move and then going to see guitar wolf and cheap time.

i recently saw cheap time. i was a little disap'd ... i've always liked them but for some reason by the end of the set i couldn't stand the same-ness of their songs and that dude's voice.

Tough week at work. Lot of work on the disaster relief here in the tornado stricken areas.

Tonight: Having dinner in the hood at a local Americanized Cuban joint with a solid beer list. Meeting a friend after next door at the neighborhood dive bar to drink cheap beer and play a round of Golden Tee. Honestly, looking forward to such a low key evening of mindless drinking and bullshitting.

Tomorrow: Gym. Friends graduation from med school party/BBQ in the afternoon. Hopefully the rain will stay away. Got an engagement party in Buckhead that evening. If the mixture is right (read: FemDerris is drunk enough) going to try and make a benefit for my work with Gentlemen Jesse & His Men. (prognosis: doubtful)

Sunday: Going to be beautiful if I'm to believe weather.com. Pool maybe. Home Depot? Bed, Bath, and Beyond? Don't know if we'll have enough time......

Today: Wrap up work day then go home and braise up some pork cheeks for dinner. Then find a nice spot on the couch, dump them on my chest with a bottle of red and watch the Yankees v. Redsox if I can get away with it.

Tomorrow: Driving out to Joshua tree for an overnight. Lots of Hiking with Wild flowers for fem g and Gram Parsons memorials for me

Sunday: More of the same followed by catching Tim Easton & Victoria Williams play their weekly gig at Pappy's & Harriet's before driving back to LA

Today: Had a course in Calgary most of the day. I came home and cooked one of the best steaks I've ever had courtesy of a co-worker who had an overflow of grass-fed beef in her freezer. I can't recall when I've been this floored by some basic food I've eaten since I was a kid. It's like tasting something with a subtle orange essence and then being given a piece of orange. I can't imagine what it would be like when it was fresh.

Sat/Sun: Yards, house all kinds of work in preparation for an open-house on Sunday.

Honestly trying to stay dry. I'm getting this sneaky suspicion that god is trying flood me out.
