Killed my morning meeting, so after a dinner I had last night, I headed down to The Compound. Dad's 3rd wife's oldest is graduating from HS, so it's an excuse to come down here and drink heavily.

Turned off my phone last night and won't turn it back on until Tuesday.

Tonight: Heading to Dahlonega, GA for a wedding. Got a dinner rez at a place called Backporch Oyster Bar. Oysters and Coastal Carolina cuisine in the North GA mountains? I'm rolling the dice....... Meeting wedding party and other folks at Irish Pub post-rehearsal dinner.

Saturday: Either going with a group of people to a couple local wineries or going to a huge rock quarry for beers and swimming. Undecided. Wedding is out deep in the wilderness on some type of retreat property. Reception in an open air barn.

Sunday: Heading to my folks lake house about 50 miles away. Lake mongering and chilling.

Monday: Repeat. Head home.

rogneeb - i know the aquarium you're talking about & have been there a couple times when i used to live in pdx. unless you already know this, hit the white fish shack right down the road (coastside) for some wicked good fresh & fried seafood. the wife & i still laugh about the tasty fish shack practically next to the aquarium

Looks like some fantastic fishing could be had, from the lighthouse venue. Beautiful.

This is fraught with grand disaster. I suggest doing the wineries, but I typically recommend that even when there aren't any wineries in the area.

Myself, I'm doing not a goddamn thing. Helping the missus pack for her trip to Banff I guess and maybe watch The Lords of Discipline which I have not seen for 20 odd years. And I picked up Murmur on vinyl so I'm excited to hear to play it. I've only had a terrible sounding CD.
