I like the one commenter that's pissed that Brule "sold" his tickets instead of giving them to a kid. haha

:rockbanana: pleasant journeys. We'll leave the heat and humidity on for you. My friend and I were talking at lunch today about how when we were in Arizona a few weeks ago it hit 106 degrees, and we were out hiking in the desert, etc. It was 98 here yesterday and it felt oppressive, and you couldn't stand to be outside for more than a few minutes. Welcome to the mid-Atlantic humidity.

One of the more annoying recent trends:
People filming concerts with the video camera on their phone. Last night, there was a sea of hands up above the crowd, with their camera phones trained on the stage.

Just put down the goddamn phone and enjoy the show!

The video usually turns out really shitty, anyway.

Another concert trend (though certainly not new) one of my colleagues delved into. This just went up today.

That "article" (random thoughts at the moment) was so poorly written and irrelevant to anything, my 15 year old self would be disappointed. I forced myself to read 75% of that ultimate garbage. I would question my job if people like that were considered peers.

I'm 6'1 so the "tall thing" is kinda ridiculous to me. Personally, I'm usually pretty aware of it--but there are times that I'm not. Here's the problem though, 90% of the time people are just rude if they are shorter than you. They make comments, push, etc. When someone simply asks, and is polite about it I have no problems. But--don't pull your 8' bf up with you to stand in front of me conversely.

My biggest pet peeves are drunken women thinking that they will get the attention of one of the band members. The constant howling/banshee screeching is pretty annoying when its right in your ear.

women at shows in general are problematic.

uglies think they can hide in the dark.

there should be a premium at the door for women with ulterior motives.

I recorded some decent videos with my phone at shows, I must confess. usually I'm with you and most of the live show videos put up on youtube are really shitty.

You know, sometimes you just have to sat fuck it. I got front row seats at Wilco, and while I usually creep in the back, I wasn't giving a fuck.

I apologized to the people behind me, and told them if they count see, or wanted to see something that I was in the way of, to just ask me to move. I guess it helps to be polite, pretty much 100% of the time.
