I actually spoke with my mom's cousin yesterday, Eloise Saperstein (daughter of Globeetrotters founder Abe). She got my email, sent me her phone number to call her, and I did.

She was incredibly sweet and gave me a lot of good history about that side of my family. I guess I went to her house a couple of times when I was a baby and she remembered me from then.

Hopefully, we'll get a chance to have lunch or something sometime and I'll also get to meet more of my cousins, her kids (who are around my age).

"Be sure to tell everybody that you're related to the Harlem Globetrotters!" she told me.

So sweet.

Next HoP show, you totally need to rock a Meadowlark Lemon jersey.

And take the stage running the weave around the band equipment while "Sweet Georgia Brown" whistles in the background.

That's pretty choice, Todd. Any complimentary merch, perchance?

Didn't ask and wouldn't ask.
I may go out and buy a couple jerseys, though.

At the very least, please wear a giant afro wig with a bunch of different stuff in it (guitar picks, capo, tuner, etc.)
