This album is monster, listening on vinyl now.

ranges from delicate chamber folk to denser rock and roll, and her voice and lyrics are exquisite, and it's raw and bawdy without being crass and vulgar, while at moments being supremely innocent.

I've only ever listened to their first album, Loose Lips Sink Ships. I remember it being a decent listen, but didn't figure they'd have any staying power. I wonder if I still have that floating around somewhere...

I haven't heard that one, but i'd be interested in hearing it, because this new one has really got me in a chokehold.

Nice armpit hair.

Seriously.

Like the sound, too.

I've listened to this album at least once, and usually 2-3 times a day since i opened it. It's only gotten better.

I spent 10 minutes searching for this album online. Listened to the entire thing and started to write a well thought out critique of this; but it's not worth it because it's a badly produced boring album that sounds like 2002 and/or a 2011 NPR bumper.

HARDCORE. HIGH FIVE FOR GETTING LAID.

You've had sex with women and then you bragged about it ON THE INTERNET. No wonder you're too cool for NPR like the rest of us, yuppy folk. Thank god, you're not some white professional from a middle class-to-rich socio economic background who would be so lame as to listen to NPR.

So many tangential thoughts revolving around anger. Can not compute. So you like this band? Or dislike me?

Why would you do this? You either listened to the youtube clip and liked the song enough to seek out the rest of the album (which means it's not truly as awful as your blurb), listened to the youtube clip and didn't like it but wasted 10 minutes seeking out the rest of the album just to write a snarky review, or didn't listen to the clip (which means you're too stupid to check out the clip before wasting 10 minutes looking for an album that you had a 50/50 chance at best of liking).

I guess the alternative is you have a lot of time on your hands to waste as the pool of law clerks dumb enough to fuck isn't as large as we were lead to believe.

You don't like it, fine. I don't care.

I'm having an experience with an album, and I'm sharing.

Try and do the same, because I'd love to feel this more often than a couple of handful of times in a decade.

I like this. Her voice reminds me of Mary Timony, in that breathless, slightly flat sorta way. Des Ark's songs aren't all about butterflies and unicorns though.
