So...we just had a 5.9 earthquake out here in Western Md. Not something we're used to.

They're saying it was centered in Mineral, VA.

some of the street vendors outside my building said they didn't notice whereas we were swaying away a few floors up. I think it depended if you were indoors or out and what sort of building you were in.

Yeah, I was on the third floor. Our battery-backups on all our computers started going off all at once and then all of the sudden our desks and stuff started vibrating and shaking. Went outside and people were just going about their business. Then all of the building started to empty out. Everyone making sure if wasn't just their building.

Some of the spires fell off of the National Cathedral, and now apparently the Washington Monument is tilted? Those are the reports at least.

construction has been shaking the shit out of my building for a month, so that what i assumed it was, but this was 100 times worse. I ran out of the building.
