I came across this review while perusing restaurants in my town. Apparently, I should consider Outback:

Quote:
1. First place goes to the Outback steakhouse. This restaurant has the best steak in the whole world. This is because they use 17 spices on each piece of meat. The flavor is wonderful, and you will never have to use A-1 steak sauce to eat your steak! The quality of steak is always consistently incredible. And, the Outback has other great food. The grilled shrimp on the barbie is the best grilled shrimp I have ever had. The salads are scrumptious because the Outback makes its own salad dressings, and they are all delicious. Then you get to the desserts- the chocolate sauce is made on premises, and is so mouth-watering. It tops the sundae and the brownie, two awesome dessert choices. The atmosphere is incredible- it is casual in that everyone is friendly, but it is also semi-professional. The servers at this establishment go through some rigorous screening before being hired! This restaurant wins in many categories, so it makes number one on the list. I could eat here a couple of days a week and never grow tired of it.

That review reads like it was written by a restaurant owner/manager who needs a lesson in subtlety.

hah, we are going to Outback for dinner tonight. (Outback wins over Longhorn. Sorry. Longhorn is too much like a Ponderosa.)

So, Monty's September Miscellany thread wasn't good enough?

Living in Korea I like Outback because it's really hard to have a decent steak here, but back home I'd never choose it.

i remember going to lonestar steakhouse back in the day where you got a bucket of peanuts and you were encouraged to throw the shells on the floor. and then like every 30 minutes some cowboy black man comes busting through the kitchen doors and yelled LETS DO IT YA'LL, the music gets cranked, and all the employees would immediately stop what they were doing and start a restaurant-wide line dance. i had to run to have a smoke to compose myself. it was magnificent.

that was the best restaurant in the world. if they had one of those deep fried onion things i'd probably inquire about franchising opportunities

My thoughts exactly.

But Outback takeout, eaten in bed is the stuff white life is made of!

I'm living in Ansan, which is maybe like 30 or forty minutes from Seoul, what would you be doing there?

Are you going to go "hiking" up around the border?

I used to work at Outback in high school as a busboy. The screening is anything but rigorous. I went in and applied and was all but hired on the spot.

Ummm, Capital Grille. Show me a better chain steak than their Porcinin Rubbed Delmonico.

Suwon, that's pretty close by. I have some friends there, so if I want i can find some recomendations for places to eat, bars, things to do or whatever. How long would you be there?
