saw them last night
danced my ass off with a bunch of middle aged queens. They're playing again tonight and I am debating going again.

it was fucking spectacular.

I saw them the first time in 8th grade...still love them.

Andy Bell can belt out a tune but Vince Clarke (who, incidentally, is straight and actually lives in Maine) is a synth god. He founded Depeche Mode and of course, Yaz.
He just stands there on stage like the hot shit he is.

Sounds like a good time! I wasn't even sure they were together still. I've been listening to them since Wonderland was released, but I've never seen them.

yeah they are releasing a new album which they played some songs from. Honestly I probably won't get it. Chorus and The Innocents do it for me.

They are EXCELLENT live. I first saw them on the Abbaesque tour in...92? 93? Then on all their tours since.
Just a really super fun great live show.

Andy was on some show in the UK recently called Pop Star to Opera Star. You can find it on you tube it's entertaining. He has botoxed his face within an inch of his life.

Saw VC's interview here on Electric Independence at his cabin a while ago. I did not know much about him and only a fleeting interest in any of his bands as a kid, but an interesting guy and cool ass studio.
