Watched this on PBS last night. I would consider myself a casual fan, but since watching this documentary, I have a new found respect for them as artists and an urge to re-listen to their entire catalog.

My favorite album is Vs. followed by Riot Act.

Favorite parts of the movie were seeing Ed climb on various venue ceilings, the scene where they have the opening for the film where they f'd up the gig on purpose, and Ed's blatant disregard for the artist awards.

I'm probably more than just a casual fan... I need to see this. I missed it when they showed it twice in Milwaukee. Didn't know PBS was airing it. I'll check my local listings for the next airing.

For some reason, I'm prompted now to pull out "No Code" tonight. Or "Yield"...

I consider myself a fan. Buy the records when they come out, etc.

Didn't get to see this in the theaters, though. My best friend pre-ordered the $70 version of this on PJ.com. I'm just gonna wait until Netflix has it.

I agree with TJ. I was a big fan, but slowly tapered off 'No Code' and beyond...I bough the records but my interest wained.
This doc was so good, it re-sparked my interest in the post 'Vitalogy' records.....Got em on my ipod and I am gonna re-discover this band..

EdVed came across a lot better then I remember him being...Not nearly as surly and seems comfortable with his level of fame now...

They always struck me as pretty decent fellows who sadly happened to make crappy music. One of the weakest of the 90s grunge invasion for me.

I stopped paying attention after Yield, but they were great at Bonnaroo a few years back. I watched Twenty on PBS as well, and listened to VS. the next day on the way out to a hike. I dug it: "Dissident" through "Rearviewmirror" is tight. I was also reminded of how much I liked "Indifference" when I was 14 yrs old. I'll probably throw on Vitalogy tomorrow for my road trip.

I was left with the same impression Dov had of Vedder, but discovered that Stone Gossard is kind of a dick.

This.
Although the first time I ever heard them was when they were opening for Red Hot Chili Peppers in '91. And, I have to say that - live - they do kick a ton of ass.

Just listened to No Code / Vs. / Vitalogy a bit this morning (driving in between meetings at different sites).

Forgot how much I love "Hail Hail", "Off He Goes", "Dissident", & "Corduroy".

I think I caught most of this. It must've been this. Randomly came across it on tv and we watched all of the rest of it. I really enjoyed it, and yeah the personalities are not what I expected.
