It was the one the Farrelly Bros. were going to make with Jim Carrey, Sean Penn, and Benicio Del Toro. But it was in developmental hell and basically everyone dropped off it. God bless the Farrelly Bros. for sticking with it--but I fear the worst.

The fact that the cast of Jersey Shore is in the film as a cameo doesn't bode well.

The new ones are exactly the same as the original old school ones.

Reanimated corpses poking eyes, pulling hair, and being hit with heavy objects. Now that would be funny. I bet Zombie Shemp's hair is perfect.

They were funny as an 8 year old and still laugh at them from my context of nostalgia[post school snack show in the 70's], but do you think those antics could be pulled off with today's youth? The closest I can think of for the physical hilarity today is something like Mr. Bean or Jim Carrey. I guess what I am thinking is how would a Stooges movie stay true/or an homage to its vaudville/keystone cops routine and be fresh enough to leap over one generation and renew into this one? I am fairly sure a generation of exposure was lost between the late 80's to now. I don't see it working without some sort of meme stream or revival in the background.
