1) I got my tattoo.
2) The Knicks to make a big statement against the Celtics. Get the NBA on notice!
3) Health & Happiness, blah blah...

What you want?

Bought myself these:

Redwing 877s

Hoping they will be the final boots I buy in my lifetime. Probably will have to resole them a few times, but they're made to last.

1) For 2012 to come close to matching the good fortune I've had in 2011 ( Someone is WILLING to marry me???)
2) To be able to spend time with friends and family as much as possible. Shit is essential.
3) For people to forget their prejudices and just fucking help a neighbor out because, you know, sometimes they just fucking need it. Karma bitches. (/cheese)

Selfishly, those Ipad 2's are fucking sweet.

It sounds cheesy but the main two things I want are for my kids to be happy and for me to get some rest.

As far as material things go, I put a bug in my parents' ear that I'd like to have a small video camera.

I'd like to be able to sell my 1968 Gibson bass so i can pay off some debt accrued from the divorce.

Really that's it. Then I can try and sock away some money to try and apply to graduate school.

Mostly I just want work to not email me while I take a week off and I hope that someone passes my a little bag so the hangovers for a week-long drinking binge have a ready cure.

RE: getting rest

3 years ago FemDerris and I had had a pretty stressful December and been running around like crazy and decided to schedule massages the morning before we left town to go to either her folks or mine for Christmas.

It was the best idea ever and we've done it together every year since.

Our appt is for 11am tomorrow and after that we'll head to my folks house for a couple days.

Cannot recommend this enough.

Derris, that is a fantastic idea. Too late to schedule something this year, but I will absolutely steal this idea in the years to come.

Me too guys. I really can't think of anything I need or want, other than good fortune for my family and rest.

And seriously, if I do want this to happen I'll have to be selfish about it.

I feel like it's a given that the kid's going to be happy. The wife and I will be both be home with her for a week. It's the first year where she'll (hopefully) get a kick out of opening presents. It should be fun.

But I have this impending dread that the coming week is going to be more exhausting than actually being at work, and then when I come back into work on the 2nd, I'm going to be working against some crazy deadlines.

Meh. Mine's pretty boring. We asked all our relatives for Apple gift cards. Gonna get a new iMac.

We also have a standing gift of movie gift cards that we get every Christmas so we can go see all the Oscar nominated flicks.

Only other thing I specifically mentioned to anyone was a pair of black Chuck Taylor lowtops.

If I'm being selfish, I'd like to approach last years total of xmas tips I got. Doubt it'll happen this year though since I'm on a new route and not everyone knows me.

Other than that, just a continuation of 2011, which has been awesome.

the cowboys to string together two more wins...and then four more after that (hey, if the chiefs can beat the packers, anything's possible, right???)

Selfishly, I've been scanning eBay for awhile looking for a Jacob Hester autographed LSU jersey for under 100. Came close a couple of times.
