Does any one like the mixes from Back To Mine?
Most of them are total shit, but for some reason, I tend to buy them.
The first one I got was Everything But The Girl. I loved it and could'nt stop buying them since.

Morcheeba - the best Back To Mine of them all

Everything But The Girl - Pretty cool mix (the first i got) so far, the only BTM that i have heard where they actually blended the tracks together (smoothly).

Faithless - has it's moments, but nothing great

Death In Vegas - I thought when I bought this, that it would be killer...major disappointment

Orbital - not good..not good at all

Orb - not bad, but it could have been so much better

Groove Armada - weak

Tricky - Fucking Terrible

Talvin Cdmusr - not bad, but I got to be in the mood to enjoy it

I have'nt heard Carl Cox, Richard X, Nick Warren, Lamb and a couple others, but I think i'm going to pass. Lamb could be interesting, tho.

I tend to confudse Back To Mine with the Under The Influence and..shit i can't even remember what the other one is called.

Back to Mine...
the Orbital one has that awesome Gert Tilden song, though.

the New Order one has that great song they did with another vocalist between being Joy Division and New Order, the one about open-air surgery. Someone told me the title once but I always forget it.

I have the Ian Brown Under The Influence mix which is pretty good, some quality tracks from the likes of Sizzla and Buju Banton.

The best mix albums in my collection are Coldcut's 'Journeys By DJ' and DJ Food & DK's 'Now Listen'. I'd recommend both if you don't have them. DJ Yoda's mix albums, althought tongue in cheek, are usually an enjoyable listen too.

say what??? these tracks are friggin' classics....

kleeer - tonight
roy ayers - the memory
metro area - muria
al green - truth n time
mr. fingers - can you feel it
loose ends - feel the vibe

that's proper rare groove/funk.soul.disco right there.

the Fila Brazillia mix is quite good. the rest are kinda snoooooore.

the Late Night Tales mixes are far superior IMO [especially the mixes from jamiroquai, nightmares on wax, turin brakes, and sly & robbie]. thr four tet mix is ok as well. looking forward to grabbing the new mix from the flaming lips!

I was takling about Groove Armada's mix for Back to MIne not Late Night Tales. The only good track that they use in the mix is Al Green's version of The Door's 'Light My FIre'. If you never heard that track before, you gotta check it out. HOT!! As for the Fila Brazillia mix, I't my favoirte besides Zero 7 (i completely forgot about mentioning them), although i really want to hear Four Tet's mix.
