Anyone go?

Absolutely incredible performance. You know it's a good show when the smell of BO wafts through the crowd. They play with such intensity and passion, it's impossible not to get caught up in it. Oh, and they had the single best spoken song intro EVER. The bassist walked to the mic and said, "This is a horrible song." Bam, right into it. Awesome.

The opener, Shout Out Louds, were pretty great as well. They're a very tight garage pop band from Sweden. Sounded a bit like the New Pornos but noisier and punkier. Picked up their EP for two bucks (which is surprisingly mellow). I look forward to great things from this band.

Definitely go see the Futureheads if they stop by your town.

I debated going, but with all the shows going on this month, I thought to pass 'em this time. 'Sides, I saw them a few months ago at the Troubadour. And you're right, they are fantastic! Lotsa energy -- had my friends and I bouncing during their entire set. Glad you had a great time!

W Gun, you should post more.

Grrrr, I'm mad I missed this show, and I haven't been to any shows this month (which is really odd for me). I guess I'll just have to wait until Coachella.

I was supposed to go to this...I'm not sure what happened w/that one...

Oh well, my Friday night was just the perfect mix of beer, Darnielle, and jogging anyways...
