I pulled the below from Olbermann's blog at MSNBC. Enjoy.

"I spent more than 20 years as a sports reporter, most of them on the national level. I heard my first accusation of steroid use (ironically enough, against Jose Canseco), from another active player, in the winter of 1987. I had an eminent sports orthopedic surgeon tell me in 1991 that the sudden demise of the career of a seemingly invincible ballplayer due to a rare blood vessel problem could only have been caused by a long-standing hereditary issue that should have affected every male in his family for generations, or by the repeated injections of performance-enhancing drugs into a specific part of the body." (italicization mine)

What other 'invincible', i.e. two sport (?), stud broke down in '90 or '91? And, could the 'specific part' be the hip??

Me and Bloor hashed this out a while ago. I say he don't know Diddley about steroids, Bloor is McCarthy: Everyone's Guilty.

Anyway, Bo's injury was to his hip socket, not a blood vessel issue, if I recall correctly.

Maybe one of the biologists or MD on-board could clarify, but I would think that circulatory issues could damage and inhibit parts other than vessels....

Have you no sense of decency, Chris, at long last? Have you left no sense of decency?

Everyone knows the black athlete is just superior. Bo don't need that shit.

What about Ben Jonson? I think he could have writ the verse without the aid of anabolica, but running the one-hundred-meters, considering his gout-afflicted feet, would not be a fit for him.
