I've heard about it. Can we get a description? Similarities, even? I think I have a track or two, and I can't decide if I want to look further.

I think their allmusic influences sum them up nicely. They are sort of Gang of Four-ish, sort of Voidoids and Cure influenced too. If I had to pick contemporary influences, I would say British Sea Power on the music and Franz Ferdinand on the Vox.

Actually, I would say they are extremely cure-ish on vocals, moreso than franz.

i just came across this recenntly, after ignoring the hundred odd recoimmendations i heard. I really, really like about half the songs on there, but the other half do nothing for me.

Spade, I hear nothing of what you speak (maybe Gang of Four, but Cure?!) I like this album, but their songs are better when interspersed into a mix, or heard on KEXP, if that makes any sense...maybe they = good in small doses

I bought this album about 5 months back and saw them in concert at the metro in July. I was preaching the Pony's word like I was Pat Robertson, but the album didn't stand the test of time for me. It's a great summer album though.

Cure vocally...when that one guy is singing

Realize I am exponentially terrible at describing what something sounds like

Funny you should say that, because I am too. I almost said "I don't know what I hear, but I know its not The Cure" HAHA.

I bought their first 7" because I read that it was members of Happy Supply but was ultimately disappointed. I'm pretty sure they were originally just bad garage rock.
