I read a glowing review of this on popmatters today and may check it out. I was wondering how many of you are familiar with them and would give an opinion of them before I possibly waste (another) download.

This doesn't deserve to be an individual thread, I know, but it's the only way it may be seen by some.

i like their most recent effort, "The Color Spectrum", although their "Acts" trilogy left me a little cold. They seem to get grouped into the Thrice/Mars Volta/Coheed group, but I think they are a little better.

Was JUST looking at the Cannery Ballroom schedule, and saw them listed. Thought it was a lame band name. S'about all I know.

I don't, but my brother does, and I like to keep an eye on Nashville venues like the Ryman and cannery, and plan my visits accordingly. :)

mutty - new venue in town: Marathon Music Works that you'll need to keep an eye on

I saw The Dear Hunter open for White Denim at Cannery a couple of months ago. They weren't bad. I thought they had some serious Pink Floyd influence going on. They weren't awful, but I didn't leave wanting to check them out or anything. Could've been because I was distracted.
