Ridiculous music geek fun over the weekend, an annual CD Mix Party. Everyone brings a mix, names it, writes the name on a piece of paper and drops it into the hat. You pass 'em around and play 'em all night and at a later point, you pull a name out and that's your mix to take home. Silly but fun. You have fun making the mix and the case, some get awfully fancy with the artiness. Then you have a fun music-centric party and go home with some new music. Here's pics of my mix:

I shouldda gotten more pics. There were some really great ones. I just happened to snap quick phone pics of the those two since we were making them together. I really do like the picture fame one though.

this is a pretty great idea. How many discs got played? If I did this, it would have to be a Mix EP party so everyone's gets played.

It was more of a casual, throw one in for a few songs, toss in another kinda thing. No one was playing the whole things through. We had about 20 or so people involved so it would have had to be a really long party if people were playing entire discs.

Next time, get some meth and you'll go for days!
