This is

Dodecahedron - Dodecahedron - 2012
Experimental Black Metal Netherlands
Image

Swirling black chaos assembles into a sonic assault. Broken and torn structures born out of razor-like guitar riffs coagulate into melodies and patterns that constantly mutate and shape shift. Pure horror lurks in these Lovecraftian dimensions of inverted angles and escaping perspectives. DODECAHEDRON execute these atonal and dissonant monstrosities, which pose an ultimate technical challenge with a seeming ease that is simply jaw-dropping. Moments of bizarre aggression glide seamlessly into passages of cold threatening calm. DODECAHEDRON, who were formerly known as ORDER OF THE SOURCE BELOW emerge from The Netherlands with a clear vision of darkness that reaches post Black Metal. The avant-garde spheres charted by their album "Dodecahedron" have been opened by label mates MAYHEM with their groundbreaking release "Ordo Ad Chao" (2007) and further explored by brothers in spirit like DEATHSPELL OMEGA. DODECAHEDRON now follow their own path through this cosmic dark musical matter with a stellar artistic brilliance that will be hard to match. Get a bitter taste of the apocalypse and dive into "Dodecahedron".

Sick, fast and ugly thrash similar to early Sadus/Kreator/Destruction/Slayer/Dark Angel. Hailing from Kolbotn, Norway, Nekromantheon (features members of Obliteration and Audioplane).

My favorite discovery of 2012 so far. Raw, filthy, thrashing Metal with excellent production. Think Celtic Frost, Nihilist, Repugnant. Don't sleep on this.

Recorded, mixed, and mastered by Horrendous guitarist/vocalist Damian Herring (FATHER BEFOULED, UNDEAD CREEP, CORPSESSED) at Subterranean Watchtower Studios and featuring cover art from Raul Gonzalez (DECEASED, MORBUS CHRON, ATARAXY), The Chills brings Dark Descent Records one step closer to complete immersion of the globe in a boiling sea of sweet death.

I am still so backlogged on music to listen to.
I did look at their website though, and it seems they have been around for a while and have a ton of releases!

I like this Liberteer record. Relapse is going back to its grindcore roots. Well, plus some fife and drum weirdness.

So, apparently there is a metal/hardcore scene in Mumbai that seems to be really growing. I find this fascinating for some reason.

It's hard to find a lot about these bands, but so far I like Bhayanak Maut the best. They have an album on iTunes.

I guess Demonic Resurrection would be the slightly better known band.

nice!

i trade Metal with 2 guys from Mumbai, and a guy from Iran. We've been trading tapes/music since the early 90's, and it's been pretty interesting seeing the progression for bands/Metal fans over the years. my buddy Behrooz (Iran) has a sister that moved to Sweden, and she's into the scene there deep, so he's always sending me new bands to check out well before I would have known about them. from hand written letters back in the 90s to emails and facebook messages now. pretty crazy/awesome.

Juan hasn't been in the band for a while now, I thought.. Two years? Torche rules... and so does Midnight. Saw Midnight again a few months back.
Glad y'all are enjoying some truly awesome heavy music.
I don't go out much anymore so my knowledge of what's what these days is nonexistent. As I make it out to shows and see great bands I'll be sure to post them.
:)
Anyone going to MDF this year? Electric Wizard, Church of Misery, Saint Vitus, etc. playing Sunday night!

Juan is no longer in Torche. he's playing in MonstrO and Stallone.

I'll be at MDF! Really looking forward to it this year. Ridiculous lineup!

celestialrealms, are you new here? glad to have a fellow Metalhead on board.

Rick Santorum wants you to shut this thread down

"The WASP?" This has to be a joke.

Ex-Senator Fecalube's biggest celebrity booster, Dave Mustaine, would advise we 'youthanize' this thread.
