A vast improvement over that shitty debut. This actually suggests talent.

This album became one of my most anticipated albums this year pretty quickly.

I don't think I even made it through the debut.

I loved Post-Nothing! Don't really see this as a huge departure.

Post-Nothing is a solid album that is still in pretty constant rotation for me. It's not a shining pinnacle of lyrical greatness by any stretch, but it's still fun to listen to.

i think post-nothing is really good, too. the divide with this band is really between the awful singles and the debut; like an entirely different band. the singles compilation is pretty dreadful, save for just a couple tracks.

and they've been a pretty consistently fun live band. i'm looking forward to seeing them in may and hearing some of these new songs.

It took me a while to get into Post-Nothing but grew to like it. I saw them last month at SXSW. They were good live. I'm sure I'll spend time with Celebration Rock when it leaks.

I liked the debut but agree it was amatuerish. I thought it suggested talent if it fell short of execution.

Nice. Kind of like Titus Andronicus meets Frightened Rabbit meets The Replacements.

I finally the listened to Celebration Rock again (deleted it the first time after sampling a few tracks).
Sounds like something the reg rockers would crush on.
I found myself losing interest in the middle of the album. It probably had something to do with the repetitive nature of the album and the production being so fucking compressed that it's hard to listen to (even @ 320 kbps).
And to me, it doesn't sound like bad production for the novelty of it. It just sounds like it was done poorly.
Overall, not a bad album; but it's nothing new, and definitely not something I'll be listening to in two years -- well not even next week because I deleted it again.

Strangely, this song is not even in the top three on the album for me. I fully realize that I may be completely alone in this. To me, the closing tracks on both Celebration Rock and Post-Nothing are the best. I could listen to "I Quit Girls" and "Continuous Thunder" on repeat for quite a bit.

I love "Continuous Thunder"

I wanted to not like Celebration Rock, but I could never seem to quit it. I'll agree with Jerkass that it has a lull of sameiness in the middle but it comes roaring back at the end. And its SHORT which I think I value as much as anything these days.

Agreed the beginning and the end of the album are catchy.
But no one else is bothered by its production? For me that's the worst part of the album.

Definitely my favorite song on the album, but there are another 3-4 I also enjoyed almost as much.

Great album.
