Question: Is my ipod charging when it is in the connection dock (while attatched to my computer)?

The ipod screen simply has the Do not disconnect circle flashing while it is sitting in the dock, as opposed to the flashing battery it shows when i have it plugged into an outlet?

Hmm, I think thats it.

I don't believe it is. However it can charge if you eject the iPod out of iTunes. When I do that, and before I disconnect it completely, I see the flashing battery sign like when it's plugged into the outlet.

This is silly if true.

My adapter that came with my ipod only accepts a firewire cable attatchment to from the charger to the ipod..SO, i have to disconnecxt it from my computer each time I want to charge the thing, or go out and get another cable....

whenever ive connected it (to my mac) it charges. look at the battery icon.

i did just pull it out, and i think it did charge a bit. ill leave it for a few hours and test it..

guess that is the only real way, huh?
