Went to the orthopedic surgeon today...

I can bear full weight on my left leg, and partial on my right. I can wear sneakers instead of fracture boots. I don't have to sleep in my flexion brace anymore.

I'm pretty excited.

Wow.
Just. Wow.
You really freaking amaze me, Phil.
Keep it up. You know that every damn one of us is right there with you.
You know, like, as much as we can be on the internet and in our minds and stuff.
Still sending vibes/prayers.

Awesome news Phil. Don't push it though. Take your time and heal up. The body is an amazing thing.

Oh i haven't tried to take a step yet, I haven't even tried to stand. I mean, I WANT to, but i don't know how, so I'll wait for PT to show me how.

Also, i can't wear my socks or shoes, my feet are still too swollen, so I guess it's time to go buy shoes. Will my feet ever shrink back down?

I also hadn't seen my x rays til yesterday, and holy crap i didn't realize how much metal is in my legs. It's frightening, but it explains why my body feels the way it does.

It was a car crash right? Or am I thinking of something else. Was it only your leg? I think I would be most frightened to lose ability in my hands, no more music, writing, etc., anyways glad to see you are doing better.

Today in pt, I stood up. It was scary as hell, and I don't want to practice without someone spotting me. I did it three times and it got better each time. Still...

Huge progress...after only eight weeks too is amazing. How soon before you can get into a therapy pool?

Best wishes.
