7 Habits Author Dead at 77 Following Bike Crash

I would think people here would either know about him and hate him (Radcliffe), know about him and love him (BG, Billz) or be in need of his book in extremis (most of the rest of us, including yours truly).

Anyway - Self Help dude on a par with Dale Carnegie in terms of a pioneering "make your lazy loser self into something worth a shit" book series/lifestyle.

Curious about the crash details. Had a helmet but still had brain injuries. Wonder if he was out carbon fibering in the countryside (my guess) or in the city.

I was guessing the combination of Teh Crash and TEH OLG did him in. TEH OLG is a bitch sometimes.

That too.

And in the article, the word "accident" is a hyperlink so I was all "mkay I'll just click this and see the original article from the crash. But it goes to "Tom Brady In Car Crash." Because, you know, people who click that are probably just curious to see another article about some kind of crash somewhere sometime.

Here's the best details I could find: http://www.sltrib.com/sltrib/money/53955010-79/covey-sagers-habits-highly.html.csp

Quote:
Sagers said her father, an avid cyclist, was cycling with a friend Thursday in Rock Canyon Park when the accident occurred.

Covey went down a hill too fast and flipped forward on the bicycle, Sagers said. She said her father was wearing a helmet but it appears to have slipped backward as Covey was falling. Covey’s head hit the pavement, Sagers said.

"It was a pretty big goose egg on the top of his head," Sagers said.

Oh shit - offroading. I would venture say that 70-something is getting up there for a man to be out there bombing down hills.

Yeah, I'm much more in this group than the knowing and loving Covey group.
