so with you... they went pure southern rock. i like a few of the songs, but a lot of meh in what i'm hearing.

hmm...

First song is not offensive, but boring as hell too. Here comes the second song, and whoa fuck those vocals, that's not good. Eyebrows are furrowing.

Those photos make me think I should just be a photographer. I'm starting to recognize focal lengths and perspective in shots, noticing things I didn't notice before. I'd love to hang out in a studio with some pancake primes and maybe a fisheye and shoot a band.

i've ignored this band for long enough, but when i found out they were opening for MMJ this summer i thought i'd give 'em a fair chance...maybe they bring it for their live show?

perhaps it was due to being sandwiched between Trombone Shorty and MMJ, but holy snoozefest. no stage presence, weak tunes...just a total bore. complete opposite of Trombone Shorty (and of course MMJ).

if anyone out there wondered what a band would sound like at the meeting of the X/Y axis where Fleet Foxes rock out more and Band of Horses actually have a good live show and better songs:



I saw these guys, Desert Noises, a couple of weeks back. They're going to be big.

Also, this album is LONG. I actually wanted something non-offensive on a trip recently, and while this sort of fit the bill, IT NEVER ENDED. 16 fucking songs??
