I haven't been very impressed with anything he's released in a long time. I'd read a review for this which made it sound stylistically (if not quality-wise) closer to Paris 1919 than to his recent records so I am at least somewhat curious. I might check it out but it's not a big priority and I don't have much in the way of expectations for it. I have enjoyed his live show though the past 2 or 3 times I've seen him. FWIW, I noticed that it had leaked on that exystence blog recently.

I picked up Paris 1919 a few years back and enjoyed it for a time. Any other of his solo stuff worth checking out?

vintage violence is also very worthwhile. slow dazzle and helen of troy would be good picks if you want to dig deeper.

Those three and "Fear." Personally, I like Fear more than Slow Dazzle or Helen of Troy. The best way to go though would be to buy The Island Years comp which has includes all three if you can find a used copy.
