I have been a huge Meat Puppets fan since I was in high school in the 80's. They were my gateway band into underground rock and I still love them today. Curious to check this out, but don't want to waste my time and money on some poorly written, sensationalist piece of crap.
Anyone read it?

I have it...the author did about fifty interviews with the band, people who were around at various times, friends and fans in other bands (off the top of my head, guys from the Butthole Surfers, Black Flag, Nirvana, STP, Blind Melon, Minutemen, lots of others), he steps aside and lets the people talk, it's great. It's NOT a hack job at all or one of those sensationalistic garbage things, the author really gets out of the way and lets everybody else talk. It raised the bar for band bios, grab it.
