I hate the fucking Lakers. Jesus H. Christ why did you have to show me that picture.

Its going to be a long, long season here in Portland. JJ Hickson and a way over his head Myers Leonard playing center. 30-52 and a trip to the lottery. Lillard should be fun, though.

i just feel like Steve Nash is going to remind everyone why we thought Amare was worth a max deal by feeding Dwight as much as Kobe will allow. Dwight might be MVP this year.

Nash and Gasol are going to be ridiculous together. That said, the Lakers don't have a lot of depth and Nash is a terrible defensive liability.

The Hawks are incredibly interesting. Joe and Marvin are gone and I like all the pieces they to got to replace them. Josh Smiff in a contract year. Healthy Al Horford. Let's do this shit!

Absolutely. I'm really jealous of you having this guy. He played at Weber St. which is just a few minutes up the road from me, so I got the chance to see him play a lot and I'm telling you - the kid can do it all. He can drive, he can dish, he can shoot, he's athletic and he's smart. I was hoping against hope that the Jazz would trade up to get him, but alas...

As for the Jazz, I'm not very optimistic, but they're worth watching if only for when they bring in Jeremy Evans and things like this happen:

pretty confident james harden made a massive mistake not taking the 4-year, $55.5 mil deal. 6th men don't make that kind of loot in a small market & i don't believe he's that good - he shined w all that talent around him. he made the olympic team bc he was hot a la laettner. OKC comes out on top - they won't be bullied (over a mere $1.5 mil) & lamb could potentially be a player. if he & martin don't work, they'll trade for a guard by the deadline. end of the day: harden's a bozo, shelf-life cut in half.

Plus they got two first round picks (i think they are LAL and Boston's picks so non-lottery) but still, Presti has shown he can draft high quality guys anywhere in the draft.

I'm with you on Harden's potential in Houston: Alvin Harper in Tampa or Peerless Price in Atlanta.

I'll go the other way, I think harden (and I) recognized that he's better that Westbrook, and that Westbrook is going to take them out of as many games as he keeps them in just due to poor chemistry and bad decision making. I think Westbrook is going to look worse now that he and harden aren't splitting their bad games between the two of them.

Ahem... again I say, ahem.... anyone wanna bet against the Lakers winning it all this year? Come on, it's a great bet... they've had a horrendous exhibition season... Heat at their peak, OKC still on the up curve (Harden or not).... Spurs and Blazers' fans hating on the Lakers... Nash and Kobe about ready for the retirement home.... Howard injured and with mysterious prognosis.... so many reasons to doubt the Lakers... wanna? wanna? wanna bet???

The picks are from Dallas & Toronto, with the former protected as hell & Toronto a dark horse to make it to among seeds 4-8 in the East. So, discount that haul.

Also: Lin-Harden-Asik becomes one of the Association's more intriguing trios.

Last: Westbrook is not the problem in OKC. He's fuckin' Johnny Rotten.

The problem is that the west is straight garbage. I think I'm picking Denver.

Hawks may win 35 games and back into the playoffs only to lose to the Heat.

This team will never be anything with current ownership.

EVER.
