Yeah it looks fine. 22" is a slightly shorter than normal scale length which would make it easier on his hands, without it being a ukelele. Pickups are very metal, which I assume is a good thing. He should be thrilled - I would've been.

Nice dude, thanks for the help. I took him to Sam Ash to see if it was a good fit for him, and it was. Not too heavy, and he can grow into it. Gonna snag it from Amazon now for $199 + free shipping.
