Autechre: Exai

Yup, sounds like Autechre, all glitchy disjointed sounds, but with some warmth and enveloping deep sounds and faint melodies. If you are a fan you will love it. If you are not, you will not become one by listening to this album. If you are a vinyl fan, the 4 LP set is just beautifully pressed, dead silent, fantastically packaged. Comes with 24 bit .wav files. Pricey, but you get a lot for your money with this one.

One of those bands that just holds up remarkably well over the years. I never get tired of Fire of Love or Miami.

Suicide: S/T

Speaking of things that hold up over the years. The first Suicide album's blend of menacing submerged beats and minimal synths sounds more at home in today's musical environment than it ever has. The idea this is a record over 35 years old is just stunning.

boris präparat

i liked this ty segall/mikal cronin album more than their first. the production sort of reminds me of the coachwhips where everything is in the red.

that boris album sounds awful, though it's a vinyl rip so who knows.

Which genre has Boris attacked with this release?

there's some drone stuff on it. a lot of it is instrumental. not really worth it, imo.

Phosphorescent - Muchacho

There was a link at exy if it hasn't been taken down.

Just read the AllMusic review. Sounds intriguing, like something that I could dig a lot. I'll check it out soon.

See if this tickles your fancy, Todd. The instrumentation varies across the album, but this is one of the better tracks, imo.
