Thanks man, I was proud to play bass on it. He's a very good young writer, I hope the industry doesn't grind him down into quitting. He can't seem to get any groundswell in spite of heavy touring over the past few years.

If he is still HQ'd in Wash state, may be that's what's wrong. I'd think where you are or Nashville would be the center of his world and crowd.

He grew up in Idaho, and his wife is from Washington, so they went back to start the fam. I think he's a little too political for nashville.

I had to run away high........so I wouldn't come home low.

Could've been a good thread until PoD took a big dump on the floor.

It's Phil's only character flaw.

The inability to find merit in Hair Metal or 95% of the Stones catalog.

For the record I'd say:

"Georgia" - Ray or Willie's version. Biased because I live here but it sounds like home to me.
"Homeward Bound" - totally captures that longing to be home

I'm sure there are countless other that may not directly mention home but capture that feeling. Country music is full of songs about home.

I mean, "Take Me Home, Country Roads". Timeless.

That's not a character flaw, it's good taste.
