OK lets see how this turns out.

Work sequentially through the alphabet, with my good self starting us off on A. Surname or forename doesn't matter. One artist per letter please, I'll even allow Rush as 'R' though obviously I hope someone picks something better. To get the best spread of tastes I'd suggest we try and get 26 different posters contributing but if not I'll give the committed a second choice.

I think an appropriate way to start would to be a salute the forefathers of popular music.
