It's really more of a "market", I suppose. Still, shocking as hell to be checking out the produce, picking out some brussels sprouts, and hear Mark E. Smith start to rant at me over the store's sound system.
I asked one of the folks who worked there and he told me that they use a Pandora-like system that is just "like, really really diverse."
Very true, because it followed up with Big Momma Thornton.

I knew that I loved this place. Now I love it even more.

haha, awesome.
I remember being surprised when I heard St. Vincent at a grocery store, around the time her first album was out.

Up your game Todd, you didn't even tell us what track it was.

If it was one of the following five you owe me a goldfish in a wee plastic bag.

Hit The North
Mr. Pharmacist
Free Range
Spoilt Victorian Child
Bombast

Truthfully, I don't know The Fall's catalog well enough to give you the name of the song. But I'll be damned if it wasn't Mark Smith barking away. He's kinda hard to mistake.

i'd bet it was Blindness, because i've heard that in a mitsubishi commercial before. but it's also a little aggro for a grocery store, so idk
