I guess I just don't like Killer Mike that much. Really like the guest spots with Big Boi, Ribbon Breaks, and Prince Paul. Probably could have used a few more cameos, and hardly ever say that about any album. The production is spectacular. So dope it outshines the MCs, which is a weird imbalance.

I like certain types of Killer Mike songs, and this is a whole album of them. I only listened once, but loved that one listen.

Just saw that they were coming to Asheville this week, and I'm here at my parents house. I want to go, but it's also the just a few days before my wedding, and lots of family will be in town only for a few days, and I don't think that I can ditch them for the night. Disappointed at the timing, will have to catch them some other time.

I've not been to any rap shows, so you may be right, I'm not sure how it would work in a live context.

I've heard nothing but good things about this show. I would go.

The album... per usual, love El-P's production, but I'm simply not a rap fan.

shiv's not the only person I've heard say that, but I don't get it either. I guess I probably haven't seen a rap show in a venue over like 2000 people though, which I'm sure affects the flow.

I thought of an exception, I saw "Gang Starr" but it was really Primo DJ'ing for four hours, and Guru rapping every once in a while. There was no downtime between acts and one microphone.

I haven't seen much live rap in a long time after multiple horrible experiences, so things might be very different these days.
