After a year+ of magically commercial-free listening (I always x'ed out of the "Hey tiger, let's log you in via Facebook and blab to all your friends about what garbage you're listening to!!!1!" box) and countless auto-install upgrades, it finally has a banner ad down at the bottom, and is playing commercials.

It just started, about 6 minutes ago, and is still playing motherfucking commercials. or one commercial. I keep unmuting it, then muting again. This appears to be a ten minute commercial block. Is that fucking normal?

It could actually be a 20 minute commercial block. The little white pie chart thing is just past halfway. Who in the fuck would ever, ever actually sit and listen to one commercial go on for this long?

Not even 3/4 done. 30 minute commerical block? They must be making up for 12 months.

No it's the same dipshit guy's voice, going on and on (I must assume) about the same shit. It's a commercial. Oh and it's still going, now showing that's only 3/4 done. So this will have been at least an hour, unless it's on a parabolic time curve and the counter is slowing down until it approaches infinity.

Still going. I killed it and restarted... wtf? That was 2 hours.

Yahoo something or other, and no I had it on mute for about an hour working on other stuff, then I went to a 1 hr meeting and left it going on mute. Was still kickin' when I came back.

Well, I went to rdio.com, and looked at their home page. It looked busy. Then I got frustrated again and started listening to old shit on itunes.

What's the deal with it? Installed software on your machine, or purely web-based interface?
