Any suggestions of thangs to do, see, restaurants?
Granted I'm here for 12 hour-a-day review course for the next week, but I'd do have a vehicle at hand.

Bern's Steakhouse is supposed to be the shit on the higher end of things.

Cigar City Brewery has a tasting room. No idea what the atmosphere is like, but they make some really solid beers if that's your thing.

Drove by Cigar City Brewery on the way to the liquor store and gave it a skeptical acknowledgement.
I'm going to check it out tomorrow based on your recommendation.
I was surprised at how many Wisconsin beers (~20%) were in the selection at a pretty solid liquor store (http://www.totalwine.com/).

What are some solid regional beers to check out, YB?

The one time I've been to Tampa I went to a Coyote Ugly (shitty, left after one beer) and then 2 separate strip clubs because I didn't realize that they can't serve alcohol if the girls are nude. So I went and got trashed at the nevernude club and then went and drank a coke and saw some ass and titties and paid an $8 service fee at the strip club atm.

Yeah, Total Wine is a semi-nationwide chain, but they generally have a really solid selection.

As for regional beers, I'm not sure what gets distributed down there as a lot of these regionals are really limited right now (for example, we don't get Good People (Alabama) or any of the Cigar City stuff in Georgia right now. If you can find something like Wild Heaven's Ode To Mercy (Imperial Brown), by all means check it out. They probably do get Sweetwater and Terrapin down there but I wouldn't drink any of their beers over the Cigar City stuff.

From that Cigar City tasting room menu, I've tried the Jai Alai Pale Ale and the Invasion Pale Ale (both really fucking solid); if I walked in there I'd probably order that Guava Grove Sour just because it sounds interesting.

I only had time to try a couple standards from Cigar City Brewing but got the Jai Alai (pricey, but a really well-balanced IPA) and the Helles (closest I've had approximating anything in Munich). I'll definitely be purchasing some more CGB stuff before the end of the week.

Now I'm trying some pizza from here http://www.pacispizza.com/menu.php.
Apparently 95% of the pizza places in Tampa are "NY style" (the rest are national chains).

Due to the snowbird factor, a lot of Midwest companies distribute pretty heavily in FL.

Stopped at the fish market and picked up some freshly smoked mullet, made-to-order steamed and spiced gulf coast shrimp, fish spread, remoulade, and a loaf of Cuban bread while pounding down the remainder of those Presidentes.

How was the smoked mullet? I wanna try smoking some sea trout next time I go fishing (they serve that at Le Bernardin--not saying I can do that, it just gave me the idea of "Hey I catch a lot of sea trout, let's smoke it)
