Probably no real surprises here:

1. Shugo Tokumaru - In Focus?
2. Tom Zé - Tropicália Lixo Lógico
3. Yo La Tengo - Fade
4. Bombino - Nomad
5. My Bloody Valentine - MBV
6. Foxygen - We Are the 21st Century Ambassadors of Peace & Magic
7. Lee Renaldo & The Dust - Last Night On Earth
8. Cate Le Bon - Mug Museum
9. Janelle Monae - The Electric Lady
10. Neko Case - The Worse Things Get...

Also, right there:
Luke Haines - Rock n' Roll Animal
Grant Hart - The Argument
Johnny Marr - The Messenger
Daft Punk - Random Access Memories
Wire - Change Becomes Us
Belleville - Collection Box
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds - Push the Sky Away
Meat Puppets - Rat Farm
The Bamboo Kids - Safe City Blues

Parquet Courts might have made the top 10 (even top 5) if I had heard it earlier and heard it enough. But, right now, I just can't place it there. Still... pretty awesome stuff.

Nice list. Cool to see that Shugo held onto your top spot for pretty much the whole year. "Katachi" is a great song, and the video for it is one of the best things ever.

MBV, YLT, Nick Cave, and Wire are also favorites, and Parquet Courts is still hanging onto my top spot. Agree that they're awesome, and I'm looking forward to whatever they do next.

Interesting list, Todd. You've given me a lot of things I need to listen to.

Meat Puppets put out a new album? I'll have to go hunt down a copy.

Shugo is just mesmerizing. I love music that can suck me in and hold on to me.
