I've been wanting to hear that Purling Hiss. Tried to search for it on Spotify a few times but it never popped up.

I saw them open for War on Drugs back in 2011 and I liked what I heard. I checked out samples from an album of theirs the next day, but was disappointed because it sounded more like a band playing in the other room with a mic pressed up against the wall on the other side, which I'm sure was intentional but still...

even though i said they weren't in order, i've probably listened to that Mutual Benefit more than anything else this year.

i think you'd probably like Purling Hiss. they're kind of like kurt vile with better guitar solos. or maybe ty segall? i dunno
