My impression after the first spin: pretty disappointing actually. Sounds like a band that's run out of ideas. Most of the songs sound tired and washed-out like the day after a massive party.

Stereophonics had ideas to run out of?

Well, I liked their earlier albums...especially Just Enough Education To Perform and Performance & Cocktails

a long time ago IMO.

they keep trying to reinvent themselves, but fail each time.

the only decent moments on the new album are dakota and rewind.

Yeah, good single, but the rest of it sucks. I don't know how they're still popular.
