They've released 2 EPs, including one this year, and they're fantastic.
If you're not a fan of Suede (which I know a lot of you aren't), it's still worth checking out, because it doesn't sound like that band at all.
In fact, it kinda sounds like the singer from Television Personalities fronting the band Television.

Just thought that I would give you all the heads up.

I'm probably the biggest Suede hater on the board although at least 75% of my hate is for the vocals. Still not very interested in checking this out but thought I'd mention that Bernard Butler played all the lead guitar parts on Ben Watt's new album. Wasn't really my thing but some of you Bernard Butler fans might like it.

Not sure what you think of the band The 1990s (I've never heard them), but I think that I should let you and everyone else know that the vocals on this album are done by Jackie McKeown from that band.

At least listen to the video, Billy. You might still hate it, for sure. But it really sounds nothing like Suede.
Like I said: Television meets Television Personalities.
And the guitar playing is phenomenal (of course).

Ok, I listened to it. Not really my thing though. I can see why you refer television. I hear a little J. Mascis's recent solo work too in some of the snippets of guitar playing. Bits and pieces I like, but overall, its a bit too meandering and repetitive, and I don't like the vocals at all. I might have been more open to something like this 5 years ago. Today, it won't get a second listen. As much as I love Marquee Moon, I'm not sure I'd give it a second listen today either if I came too it without a history with it.

Lefty Frizzell meets the Carter Family, you'd have my rapt attention. Television meets TV Personalities, not so much.

I was wondering what happened to the 1990s. They were pretty great. Keep hearing one of their tunes in a TV ad for something, but never pay attention to find out what.

That Trans song is just a mere sketch of a riff and half a melody line. Like, with some effort they might have a song there. I tracked down some of their other stuff, and it's all similarly half-baked pseudo jams that make no attempt to be interesting.
