i like. he's got o'reilly's mannerisms nailed, and his attack on james brady was inspired. still, i wonder how long he can keep it up, and if the daily show is going to suffer without its best straight man. waddaya think?

Hmm...I found myself forcing laughter. To be fair, though, I really haven't actually watched much of the stuff he's parodying, so there's probably a lot of subtlety that I'm not getting. I also don't have a sense of humor.

it's a pretty dead on parody of any pundit's show on Fox or CNN, really. still i wonder how long that joke can hold out.

Corrdry's done "This Week in God" at least once, so I'm guessing he and Helms will split a lot of Colbert's duties.

Absolutely hilarious. His interview with Stone Philips was classic.

"Unofficial" fan site. Comedy Central website has "Truthiness" and the Grativas-off.

No shit. It's McEnroe bad.

As for Colbert, it was okay, but nothing great, and not as good as the predictable Daily Show. I see this getting very old very fast.

My only complaint is the show feels rushed and unrehearsed, but not in an improv way. More like a "Weekend Update" I-just-futzed-that-word-on-the-teleprompter-way. It's funny, but it feels forced.

CNBC has come around, though, by getting Donny Deutsch on the air.

Comedy Central..? Well, they havn't been running Saving Silverman quite as much....

I'm in the "I dunno how long they can keep this up" camp.

And I'm a Corolla fan ( well, of his "LoveLine" work ) , but that talk show is BRUTAL. His home show on TLC is pretty amusing, though.

liked the feature on the First District in Georgia last night, nice to see the Savannah Sand Gnats getting the recognition they deserve.

I dont know, that talk show with Adam Corolla is so brutal that I watch it anyways. The episode last night was just 20 minutes of him interviewing Danica Patrick and 2 minutes of his opening which no one laughed at in the entire world. I'm amazed everyday it isn't cancelled.

A TRUE no talent ass clown. Just openly NOT funny.

I like shows like Daily Show and Colbert, but I like real news a bit better...if I watch the tv, that's what I watch.

Agreed; "Countdown" is much better for psudo (nuevo?)-news entertainment anyways.

But I'll take NewsNight or especially Hardball every night of the week.

I think Colbert improved a lot during the last 2 episodes. If his writers can keep this up, I think The Colbert Report might be as good as The Daily Show itself.

Yeah we really must give these talkies time to grow. Always remember Conan started out awful and eventually improved all the way to mildly amusing.

i think he needs to learn to mold his on tv persona with his own personality, and that will take some time to iron out. right now he kind of switches back and forth, and it really shows in the interviews.
