It seems as if many of us are embracing the brilliance that is Firefox. I finally joined the masses last weekend, and I've already got this mofo tricked up six ways to Sunday. Let's use this thread to post our favorite extensions and special tricks/tips, etc.

My favorite extensions so far are FoxyTunes and FireFTP...they are both AWESOME! The Gmail notifier is pretty sweet, too.

Does anyone know if there are extensions available yet for AIM and Yahoo! Messenger?

I added imdb and Allmusic to the search engine at the top of the browser.

my essential extensions:
bugmenot a life saver. my favourite by far.
last tab.ctrl-tab your way back to the last tab
miniT. move tabs around.
downTHEmall. download multiple links from a webpage. great for downloading mp3s.
rip. an add killer. everytime you go to an address, it will remove annoying ads for as long as you go that page.
greasemonkey. ive had this probably three weeks and i dont know how i ever lived without it. it can do just about anything. dont wanna go through that annoying frame in google image search? then download the script and get rid of it. the allmusic guide script is essential.
sage. an easy to use rss reader. i thought i would try out rss, and sage works quite well for it.

most definately. imo, safari cant hold a candle to firefox. i use my extensions daily, if not hourly. i couldnt do any of that in safari.

i just clicked it and it worked. scroll down a little bit and youll see it. the bugmenot extension fills in all those passwords you need for newspaper sites, message boards, etc. anywhere you need a password.

I gave up on bugmenot since it has worked for me exactly once on washingtonpost.com, which was the only place I needed it.

Is there an advantage of rip over adblock?

adblock can be a pain to configure. rip is easier.

I never really configured. I just right-click to block or click the tab on the individual ad.

It's not all ads that bother me; I can ignore a lot of things. But if it has animation or sound, it's likely toast.
