Not getting into a long ramble about this, just wanted to say it's the best most interesting thing Bowie's put out in many years. Been playing it all morning. This ain't no nostalgia trip. Anyone else digging it?

Standard black vinyl here, but when I look at my monthly expenses I never feel any right to criticize anyone for overspending on vinyl. Enjoy that one.

I was about to say, while I know you would never consider parting with it, the value of this has no doubt skyrocketed to an astronomical level.

Didn't even know he came out with something new. It's available for streaming on Amazon Prime, so I'm about to check it out.

I've liked the title track and Lazarus, and the fact that Tony Visconti produced it and there is a jazz band backing him is alluring to me.

It's hard to know how much his death effected my opinion of my first listen, but it was haunting and beautiful and all around really great. But every Bowie song I heard yesterday, particularly ones I never really cared about sounded incredible.

i think it's masterful. "blackstar" and "lazarus" are extremely affective. i can't get the former out of my head. i also dig the last track on the album, and as a whole think it's a strong package. Above all else, he crafted his own death as an artwork, and left a cosmic, indelible mark in place of his absence. i'm amazed. not the biggest bowie fan – i love "low" but haven't necessarily connected with any other album significantly – but i am going to immerse in his catalogue.
