I've really liked the songs I've heard recently (hadn't listened to him before), particularly "Vincent". Pretty interested to hear the album.

Teens of Style from last year was good---I like this one a little more.

One I just heard this week that I really like is Seratones - Get Gone (the tracks "Don't Need It," "Headtrip," and "Chandelier" are standouts).

It's on Spotify: https://play.spotify.com/user/bobsixtysix/playlist/2ScxCraZZUPzbJa1AQGpr0

Agreed, especially the song "Don't Need It." Her vocals are pretty impressive.

Yeah, her vocals really help these songs stand out - great stuff!

Totally. It's right in my wheelhouse, and seems to come from the same place as Lunatic Harness, and other of his best work. Bombadub and Cumblin in particular are awesome tracks.

Been listening to Teens of Denial a ton over the past week (thanks again for the link) and am absolutely loving it. Favorite album so far this year for me.

Sorry for the late response, but yeah, I've never heard anything of theirs with vocals.

Their previous album, Hidden Cities, is really good, too. I first heard them on a split with Lower Dens, and their track on that, "Bending to the Lash", is what piqued my interest. The newer version of that track on Interventions is longer and more fleshed out.

Just did some more research on this. Turns out it was recorded in 1995: Still, I'll take it!

I need some Radcliffe-type music in my life so this is good. Balance and all that.

Some good stuff on here Rads. I like Islands, Twin Peaks, and Pat Todd, which I already knew. But I also really like James Hunter 6 and Misty Miller, which I did not know. The Main Grains song reminds me sooo much of a Groovie Ghoulies song. I wish that Gee Strings song was better, they have a good band name.

Cool! Glad that you dug it.
And, I did listen to that Mbongwana Star. Put it in to my Spotify queue and I listen to it periodically. I do like it.

It's worth a listen. The collab with Run The Jewels is cool and "The Sideshow" is just straight-up fun as fuck. There's some neat ideas throughout, but sometimes you need patience (like with "Depth Charge") and then there are other tracks where you are patient for something innovative or whatever and nothing ever materializes. I think the album falls under "Not nearly his best but even an average Shadow album is better than 90% of current DJ output."
