Well, it looks like the Rio Karma will be now more. :( Rio has moved it off of their dropdown list and its product page no longer has a buy button.

For those of you who haven't bought an Ipod and you are looking for a harddrive player that has up to 3 seconds of song-crossfade capability (not to mention the super-groovy blue pulsating led cradle) it looks like they are still on sale at amazon for 30% off, no less.

wonder why they discontinued it. outside of a sporadic hd failure, it's a nice machine. (bought mine with a service agreement at bestbuy, so i'm set for 3yrs from buydate.)

if i had to buy another, i'd go iriver, but i haven't done much research since i bought my rio a year ago.

i don't know... for a time there was talk of a Karma2 that was a 40GB player, but it never materialized. I have to say, i love mine. it was the cross-fading that sold me. i hate gaps between songs when you are listening to a live show.

My Karma was a big shitpile of disappointment.

Karma's gapless playback looked appealing, but I was turned off by the hard drive failure. Not an attractive feature.
