I'm going record shopping today for the first time in ages and I'm actually quite excited at the prospect of rooting about in shops, flicking through the CD's and examining jewel cases. I guess I'm a man of simple pleasures.

This is my shopping list but often I come back with something completely different especially when I have a strict two albums spending budget.

Mark Mulcahy - In Pursuit of Your Happiness
Whitey - The Light At The End Of The Tunnel Is A Train
Andrew Bird - The Mysterious Production of Eggs
Anthony & The Johnsons - I Am A Bird Now
Trail of Dead - Worlds Apart

See ya later....

I heard a Whitey track a few years ago (I can't remember the name) and as I recall it was very good.

Is this something new?

Debut album came out last week. In the UK that is. I doubt if it's been released in the USA but I might be wrong.

REASON I'M STILL HERE: Waiting on next train. I always miss the one I intend to get.

Oh this is exciting, Darrin! I was able to do the same not too long ago.

We'll be waiting to hear what you decided on.

My strict two CD budget wasn't that strict cos I bought three :- Mark Mulcahy, Anthony & The Johnsons and Whitey.

Listening to Mark Mulcahy at the moment, nice but nothing earth shattering at least on a first listen. Reminds me a little of Neil Finn/Crowded House.
