So my ratio of Buzz-Havingness to Hangover-Gettingness is appallingly bad. I tend to get hangovers very easily, but today's hangover is somethin' special. Consider:

- Have a bloody revolt going on inside my skull
- A bit nauseous, still, after 3 hours of awakeness
- Haven't changed out of the bath towel after the shower, and see no need to do so
- Had sweaty nightmares all morning, one of which involved Matt Dillon and closely resembled Drugstore Cowboy

And there is, somehow, a roughly 2 lb box of cold cuts in my fridge. I believe I rescued it from a party tray at the bar last night. I have already consumed one ham, ham, and more ham sandwich made in the monger tradition (ranch dressing instead of mayo, hot sauce applied liberally, lightly pan-fried in a skillet) and eaten it with a forlorn look on my face, my chin touching my chest. Nothing seems to help.

yeah, well... sometimes you choose the hangover, and sometimes it chooses you.

5 Steps to Recovery:

1) Take a BC Powder.
2) Jog for 12 minutes (yes, I know. It HURTS).
3) Steam room for 20 minutes (bring a glass of water in with you)
4) Cold shower.
5) 20 minute nap.

You'll feel completely better.

Oh fine. I really wasn't bad off. That's the cosmic shame part of it... I wasn't loaded or anything, and didn't have the spins at all. But something didn't get along w/ something else, apparently.

It was nice and crowded last night, too. We wound up playing from 8 straight through till 1. Fingers are killing me too. Man, I am a pussy.

It's a yuppy bar / resturaunt downtown here in madison. Nobody really watches the music, lotsa professional types fresh from work around the capitol. ometimes there's a private party in the lower 1/2, like last night, and they barely touched their trays of food. The waitress was gonna throw it all out, and hell, I'll feed it to my dogs rather than waste it all.

Today's sandwich meat count:
Me - 6 slices.
Dogs - 15 slices.

You catch that thread 2 weeks ago, where we played for the govermor's fundraiser? And staff are excellent folk. It's a good gig, in some wierd ways... steady, pays, and with exposure. Just can't take yourself too seriously.

If you can score some Imitrex from a friend with migraines, that often helps a hangover. At least the headaches.

after a thorough search of the cabinets, I fond an unopened bottle of imitation Aleve that was 6 months from expiring. One of those did the trick, but it took almost three hours to do it. Come to think of it, maybe it didn't help at all.

i did catch it. wondered where it was. doyle's a moron, but he sure does know how to rock. i'm excited to move back and possibly catch you playing for yuppies some day!
